As A Song For You Foundation continues to grow, we are celebrating the artists who have helped shape our mission. As part of this celebration, the Foundation plans to release a record in the summer of 2026 featuring original songs inspired by this work. Before becoming a nonprofit dedicated to writing personalized songs for patients and families, we also shared meaningful cover songs from artists whose music brought comfort and hope.
Born in the pandemic, A Song For You Foundation is a grassroots arts nonprofit that provides healing and comfort to patients and their loved ones at the end of life through personalized recorded songs. In just 18 months, our artists wrote, recorded, and shared more than 150 songs—many written from scratch based on the stories of individual patients shared by their families. Today, we continue to honor lives and legacies through music while also writing songs for the first responders and healthcare workers who care for these patients.
Today's featured performance comes from singer-songwriter Carl Banks, whose heartfelt interpretation of John Prine and Keith Sykes' You've Got Gold has brought comfort to many, especially the first responders we serve.
